[en] You try to install Control Center and you don't have the rights to create or manage users in the SQL database. During the Control Center installation, you can create or modify Control Center users (EPM_DBADMIN and EPM_USER). On some rare occasions, the "Optional User Setting Changes" button is greyed out or inactive.
[en] Download and install NiceLabel DBTool to manually create SQL users for Control Center, then reinstall Control Center.

[en] Create a VM snapshot or backup
NiceANdatabase on your SQL server. -
[en] Unzip the downloaded .zip file and copy the
DBToolSFX.exe. file to some folder on your hard drive. -
[en] Run the
DBToolSFX.exeto create theDBToolfolder. Open the folder and run theDBToolGui.exefile. -
[en] NiceLabel Database Setup Tool opens. Click Create or upgrade database.

[en] Enter your SQL server name.

[en] In the Database name edit field, enter a database that doesn't exist yet, for example,
NiceAN_2. Don't use the existing name (NiceANis default). -
[en] Select your authentication mode (SQL server authentication, where the default user is usually "sa", or Windows Authentication), then click Connect.

[en] The Database Information section opens. In the Users creation drop-down menu, select Assign required roles to the existing users.

[en] Select Authentication for database users.

[en] For SQL Server Authentication: Enter your SQL Server passwords for EPM_DBADMIN and EPM_USER.

[en] For Windows Authentication:

[en] For domain users: update EPM_DBADMIN edit field to
your_domain\EPM_DBADMINand EPM_USER edit field toyour_domain\EPM_USER. -
[en] For local users: keep the EPM_DBADMIN and EPM_USER fields unchanged. You can also rename EPM_DBADMIN edit field to
your_localuser\EPM_DBADMINand EPM_USER edit field toyour_localuser\EPM_USER. -
[en] Enter passwords for EPM_DBADMIN and EPM_USER.

[en] Click Create database.

[en] A window with the notification about successful database creation opens. Click Save settings and exit.

[en] File Explorer opens with the newly created
UserData.inifile. Save theUserData.inifile in the folder where the Control Center installation file is located. -
[en] Open the
UserData.inifile with the text editor (Notepad) and change the database name (NiceAN_2) toNiceAN(which is the default value; yours might be different). -
[en] Install NiceLabel Control Center.
[en] After you finish the Control Center installation, open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and delete the newly created database (NiceAN_2).
