[en] To install NiceLabel Control Center and Web Printing Site on Windows Server OS, install the following prerequisites on your server.

[en] Solution

[en] When installing NiceLabel Control Center

[en] To install the necessary prerequisites in IIS, do the following:

[en] On Windows Server:

  1. [en] Start Server Manager from Start screen.

  2. [en] Click Manage button, then Add Roles and Features.

  3. [en] Select Role-based or feature-based installation.

  4. [en] In Server Roles step, enable the Web Server (IIS) option.

[en] Enable the following components:

  • [en] Common HTTP features:

    • [en] Directory Browsing

    • [en] Default Document

    • [en] HTTP Errors

    • [en] Static Content

  • [en] Application development

    • [en] .Net Extensibility 4.5 (or higher)

    • [en] .ASP.Net 4.5 (or higher)

    • [en] CGI

    • [en] ISAPI Extensions

    • [en] ISAPI Filters

  • [en] Health and Diagnostics

    • [en] HTTP Logging

  • [en] Security

    • [en] Request Filtering

    • [en] Basic Authentication

    • [en] Windows Authentication

  • [en] Performance

    • [en] Static Content Compression

  • [en] Management tools

    • [en] IIS Management Console

[en] When installing Web Printing Site

[en] On Windows Server OS make sure to install the following role for the IIS server:

  1. [en] On the Select Role Services pane, scroll down to Management Tools.

  2. [en] Inside IIS Management Compatibility enable roles IIS Metabase Compatibility and IIS Management Console.

[en] On Windows Server also install the HTTP-Activation .NET feature:

  1. [en] Run Server Manager (on task bar and start menu)

  2. [en] Choose the server to administer (probably local server)

  3. [en] Scroll down to Roles and Features section.

  4. [en] Choose Add Role or Feature from Tasks drop down

  5. [en] On Add Role or Feature Wizard dialog, click down to Features in list of pages on the left.

  6. [en] Expand .NET. You can go back up to roles screen to add if you don't have.

  7. [en] Under WCF Services, check the box for HTTP-Activation.

  8. [en] Click Install button.

[en] Using Document Storage from Windows Server

[en] If you want to use Windows Server in the client role to open Control Center and work with the files in the Document Storage, for example, using the revision control system and workflows, you have to install Windows component Desktop Experience.
