You changed your printing preferences (darkness, speed, cutter settings,...), but your printer ignores the changes.
It is important where you change your printing preferences.
You can change printing preferences on three levels:
-
Use printer properties saved in the label. These settings override settings in your printer driver.
In NiceLabel Designer open the Label Properties and in the Printer tab select Label.
Click the Printer properties button to set printing preferences.
Note
If you print labels with the default printing form, you can override printing preferences by clicking Printer Settings button.
-
Use printer properties saved in the printer driver. Open the Label Properties and in the Printer tab select Printer Driver.
Define your printing preferences in Windows Settings > Printers & Scanners. Select your printer, click the Manage button, then click Printing preferences.
Note
If you print labels with the default printing form, you can override printing preferences by clicking Printer Settings button.
Note
To define default printer settings for all users (including network users), see the dedicated KB article.
-
Use properties stored in the printer. This method ignores settings in your printer driver. Usually, you define settings directly on your printer. Some advanced printers have also the possibility to use a Windows application to define printer settings.
To use properties stored in your printer, edit options in Printer Settings:
-
If you use printer properties saved in the label, go to Label Properties > Printer tab, then click Printer properties button. The Printer settings window opens. Click the purple pen icon next to the setting to select the Use settings set on printer option.
-
If you use printer properties saved in the printer driver, click Printing preferences for your printer in Windows Settings. The Printer settings window opens. Click the purple pen icon next to the setting to select the Use settings set on printer option.
