Scripts: The LPS label scripts in JavaScript will be converted or migrated to Loftware Cloud. You will have to recreate scripts in Loftware Cloud using VBScript or Python code.

The Conversion Service will export all scripts from the original labels to make your job a little easier. You can find the scripts inside the HTML report as well as in the text files in the folder with converted labels. During the migration, the converted label will retain the original printer name. When you open the converted label in Loftware Cloud Designer for the first time after the conversion, you will have to choose the appropriate replacement printer driver.
Form variables: The Conversion Service does not support the variables that are defined in on-demand print form. The variables are still referenced in the formulas/functions in the converted label template, but their definition is missing.
You will have to create these variables manually after conversion and make sure to use exactly the same name as in the original label.
RFID: RFID configuration is not converted or migrated. You will have to reconfigure RFID from scratch in the converted labels.
Fonts: Loftware Cloud’s Designer uses different naming conventions for the printer native (built-in) fonts than LPS/LLM. The Conversion Service uses a mapping table to find compatible font names for the converted labels. However, not all fonts have the mapping defined yet. The fonts that are not mapped will be converted into Arial TrueType font.
File drop: Loftware Cloud supports file drop printing processes with the Loftware Automation which must be configured on the server where the files are being placed.
Max Characters setting: LPS has a setting to enforce or ignore max character limits on fields. During conversion the max character limits are ignored by default and will not be enforced on the converted Loftware Cloud label. There is an option in the LPS to Loftware Cloud conversion service to enforce Max Character limits if that is preferred.
