Which TCP/UDP ports should you open?

Problem

Your system is highly protected and most of the ports are blocked in your Firewall. Because of this, some NiceLabel applications don't work properly.

Solution

Open the necessary ports in your firewall to enable communication between your NiceLabel applications (Desktop Designer, Automation, on-premise Control Center,...)

See NiceLabel System Requirements which ports must be opened.

Additional ports to communicate with other Windows resources

Important

Consult with your system administrators before you open the following ports. Some of the listed ports use also Trojans and other malware.

  • Remote Procedure Call (RPC) port 135 or 445 (TCP/UDP) on your server where you run SQL database.

  • TCP port 1433 on your server where you run SQL database.

  • UPD port 1434 on your server where you run SQL database.

  • TCP/UDP port 515 to communicate with printer spooler.

  • TCP/UDP ports 135-139 for file sharing.
